The much-heralded new café in Hawick’s Wilton Lodge Park was officially opened on Wednesday 7th February 2018.
This coincided with the unveiling of the name of the new bridge over the River Teviot which leads directly from the main car park into the café building.
The bridge is to be known as The McLaren Bridge, named after the “voice of rugby” Bill McLaren who lived in Hawick all his life.
“We are delighted that the Pavilion Café is finally open in Wilton Lodge Park and we are excited at the prospects of a busy summer. The children’s playground is fantastic and we are sure that with a busy schedule of activities planned for the summer the café will be a great asset to the park”. Says Louise Hodgson, Development Director at Caterleisure.
Available will be a range of popular breakfast items, freshly prepared hot and cold snacks, kids picnic boxes and ice lollies, delicious bakery and quality fresh ground coffee.
Opening times will be extended in the summer, with such excellent park facilities we are expecting it to be very busy.
